The winner for Market Inspector Scholarship 2018 is Mansata Kurang.

She has come up with a solution for Dementia sufferers with an effective reminiscence therapy. The effects of Dementia can be devastating for sufferers who are often in care homes without much interaction with their loved ones and in ill health to experience the world outside their four walls.

“Current reminiscence resources do not reflect the culture and history of the community the person comes from and there is a new case of dementia, one every 3 seconds so the problem is getting worse.

My solution is to provide an interactive platform using app and headsets through a general 360-degree film of familiar and peaceful scenes and music where patients or their carers can personalise the app to choose culturally appropriate resources, and also upload personal photos into the app.”

Therefore, Market Inspector is awarding a scholarship worth £1,000 to women in business who have been studying at an undergraduate or postgraduate level, and have started their own company.

With this scholarship we hope to play a small role in helping women succeed in education and business.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants are required to submit the following documents in their application:

1. Participants should provide proof that they are either currently enrolled or have been accepted at an accredited university or business school at an undergraduate or a postgraduate level in any of the native English speaking countries.
2. An essay describing your business.
3. Applicants are required to indicate their acceptance through the consent form and send it along with their application.

The final decision will be made according to the most innovative, well-written, and structured business idea.

How to Apply

In order to apply for this scholarship applicants are required to write an essay of 1,000 words describing your business. The following points should be taken into consideration while writing the essay:

1. Describe your business and your main product/service offering.
2. What makes your business idea innovative?

The applicants should send all the documents and essays via email to [email protected]. Application and supporting documents must be submitted in English.

Write “Scholarship Application + Your Name” in the email subject line.

Deadline

The application deadline is 31st October 2018 midnight UTC (+01:00). The scholarship winner will be announced on 1st December 2018.
